My client is closing a transaction on Monday using the NSP Program and two others are scheduled for later in June. It has been quite a learning curve. Rules changing at the closing table, etc. it will be a great program once the kinks are ironed out.

I don't know of anyone who has closed one yet.

An agent at my office says he has contacted a lender at GMAC who has closed one and he is currently working on a NSP grant deal with him now.

Lenders don't like this grant because they have to put up the $14K in advance. You should contact Wells Fargo they have a 203K rehab program that partners with Home Depot and Lowes.

Sounds like the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, correct? Not yet. I don't know of any lenders participating in this program, do you?
