I live in Florham Park. Every now and then you will hear a plane flying overhead but it's nothing that is bothersome. Where we are there has never been a flood issue at all. We also rarely lose power b/c the power lines are underground in our area. (We did lose power during Sandy. 8 days worth. Horrible). Overall Florham Park is a very nice place to live. Taxes are low, people are friendly and it has everything a town should have...plus a skating rink!
There is a small airport - Morristown Airport - located in Florham Park. There have been limitation with the size of the planes and the time of traffic. For more information, the best bet is to call the airport directly. With regard to flooding, there are very few sections of town that require flood insurance but the Passaic River runs through part of Florham Park after it leaves Livingston and runs into Chatham. These areas are easily detected just by driving around the community. It's a great town and you're hearing it first hand :-)! Bev K.
