Am I reading the rental listings correctly?

Asked by raysfineart, New Orleans, LA Wed May 22, 2013

It looks like "Apartments" refers to units in the larger multiple dwellings. 4-families and up, while "HOMES" appears to refer to units in smaller properties such as doubles to quads. If that's correct, how do I distinguish between a half-double and a whole house?

A double is two units...as in one building divided into 2 units.
Apartments would be considered two or more units

Most of the time it will say double or duplex if there are only 2 units. Assuming you mean single family home when you say "whole house", usually the add will say single family home.
