A-type personality. But, I think this is unprofessional: I'm very very interested in buying this house in Riverside. I didn't have an agent. I called the seller agent and she said I could work through her to buy it. There was some recent vandalism done to the house. She told me she did not have an asking price, but would get it soon. This was almost two weeks ago. I've called her work number several time she never answers. I've left several messages, she does not call back. Her cell phone number doesn't work. I've e-mailed her. She replied stating she would get back to me soon.
I just want an asking price so I can make an offer.
I don't want to work with her any more. I don't think she cares if she sells me this house. But, I really like it and I'd hate to pass it up. Any suggestions please.
It's a bank owned house in riverside. It's a smaller real estate company. I looked up her Lic. and it states she is a broker. Don't know if she is running the company or works there
We are in an unusual time for Real Estate. My guess it that the property is Bank Owned and she is waiting for the bank to let her know, what they will take for the property. These types of deals are slow.
Any agent in your area should be able to help you. Call a few friends and ask around.
Hi Rick,
I have a house in Corona (ZIP - 92879) which I acquired last year. We had some good plans for it as i used to practice architecture but somehow we had to move here in Long Beach 'coz my wife works here now. It needs some fixing (aesthetics) which I have started to do. I installed laminate floorings, started to work on the kitchen cabinets, installed outdoor lights and a security alarm. It's 2 bed 1 bath single family. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi Rick, not sure who is dishing out the thumbs downs to all agents suggesting you engage an agent to represent you. Let me be clear, I am an out of area agent and so I have no vested interest in making the suggestion. Bank deals are more - not less - complicated than conventional deals. Bearing in mind that the support you receive from an agent will cost you nothing, but just may provide the support you need to cut through the red tape - of which there is much, it puzzle me why you wouldn't want to avail yourself to the support.
I'm finding increasingly on many of these blogs/q&a sites, that agent input is categorically dismissed - what a pity, a good agent can make the difference between success and failure in a transaction.
Wish you well,

Hi Rick I recomend getting your own agent to work on your behalf . If the property is in transition the agent may not actualy have the listing. The sign could have been up when the orig.seller was in foreclosure . Banks have their own time frame and its somewhere between never quick enough and just another week or so. I will be glad to go over the banks process on finding an REO Agent and pricing. Part of the bennifet of working with a Realtor is we can research what happened at the Trustee sale, and what the costs the bank has into the property. I work as a buyers agent and not everyone knows that the fees are paid by the seller. With a little info like the property address We can run comps on the neighborhood to give you a value on your new home. Good luck Rob Reece Keller Williams 951-760-9110
Hi Rick, I had a similar experience with a bank-owned property. What I came to learn later was that the reason the agent did not return my calls was that he had 6 quick contracts come in. But that certainly did not excuse the lack of courtesy on his part.
The vandalism introduces an interesting twist - very possible they are skirting you until resolved. But I still maintain that the agent should call you back with an update.
Advice to get yourself an agent who will represent your best interests is sound.
Good luck to you!

Dear Rick,
You need your own agent to work with...someone who is representing you. I also very much dislike unprofessional behavior in any field. My suggestion to you is to retain a buyer agent for your purchase. Your agent will work with you and get all the information you need in a timely manner.
Hi Rick,
First of all I'm sorry to hear you're going through this right now. But being an "AB" personality myself I hope I can provide some insight into to what might be occurring with the situation. Now when you viewed the home was there a sign up in the front-yard and did she tell you that the home was available? If this wasn't the case she merely made the home available to you to check-out; a "preview" of sorts. Maybe she didn't make this clear to you. If the home is a REO (repo,bank-owned, foreclosure) then there is a process that the bank goes through before the home becomes available. This can include everything from trash-outs to appraisals. And to be honest the banks have been moving slower in regards to these activities. Now I do understand that it's frustrating when you're trying to get something accomplished and can't get any information on your goal. Once again sorry to hear you're going through this. If you'd like to, I can check on the property for you and see what is going on. (my contact information is below) Hope all is well and that you have the chance to get this house.

It is unprofessional. In her defense, she probably is as frustrated with her Seller as you are with her. What you're going through is not uncommon. Buying bank owned foreclosures is like buying clothing at an estate sale the day after the funeral. You'll get a deal, but the Seller is rarely pleasant or professional.
Your best bet is to write an offer and get it in front of the listing agent. What do you care about the list price? You need to determine what you think the house is worth ... or what you're willing to pay for it.
Ask yourself, "How will I feel if I don't get this house?" The answer to that question should help guide your negotiating strategy.
Contact me directly at 951-571-9229 or Sean.Giorgianni@gmail.com and I'd be happy to give, for FREE and no obligation, the information you need to make an informed decision.
Thanks for the opportunity to help.
Hi Rick,
You are right to expect better service than that. You have the right to have any agent you like represent you on the purchase of your new home. I'm guessing from your story, that you don't have a written agreement with her to only work with her.
What is the address? Maybe the house was taken off the market until the vandalism is fixed. Call me, I'll check it out for you, and oh yeah, I'll even call you back if I miss you :)
Thanks!
