Aluminum wiring

How dangerous is aluminum wiring? Is it all to do with outlets and switches. If they have all been replaced to CU/AL then are we in the clear? What percentage of houses have this type of wiring.

I think my best answer for you is to call one of the best home inspectors that I know in the PA area and his name is Bud with the Home Team and his number is570-208-5320 and you can tell him that Henry said to call.Good luck with that.

FIRST ANSWER

Just almost every house I have seen built during the Vietnam War has aluminum wiring. I own one and am living in it right now. I had an electrician replace all the plugs and switches like you said and I feel safe, but I am not an expert---just feel I have a lot more to worry about.
