Abbreviation meaning

Asked by Jimmy, San Antonio, TX Wed Feb 10, 2010

I was looking at the STATUS category on the connectMLS sheet for Live Oak, TX listing #811322. In the status category it had the letters "PCH" abbreviated, what does this mean?

Hi Jimmy-

PCH means Price Change; the seller decided to reduce the price of the home. I hope that helps! Are you working with a realtor? If you go to my website at http://www.greenhomerealtyco.com you can search using a map tool that's pretty cool. If you want to see anything just save it and enter your information. I will recieve an email notification. If you want to see it you can request an appointment online. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call.

Leave it to you to make me spit my coffee all over my monitor! First in shock that you were calling us all wrong and then in laughter when I read the rest.

Actually Jimmy....

everyone here is technically all wrong...

If you are looking at the house and you LIKE the house... PCH in real estate terms actually means "Pretty Cool House"... see.. if there's a price change AND you like the house.. well... then now you can see how the acronym came about!! :)

ok.. so PCH can ALSO mean Price Change... but which one is more fun??

God bless ya on your home search!

You definitely have your answer already, but this is a post I wrote running through the MLS abbreviation codes we use to define a property's status. Thought you might find it useful.

Hope it helps!

Hi Jimmy,

That denotes a recent "Price Change."

If you'd like the history of the property, let me know and I'll send it over.

PCH means price change. It was originally $3,000 higher when listed on 11/30/2009. Let me know if you have any more questions.
