I'd say anything north of 8th st as far as the 15 fwy. The further north you go the better it looks and of course cost more. I'll also go as far west as Mountain. You can go further on west until you hit central but then you're out of the city of upland and going towards montclair

That is an interesting question. Most desired I believe is subjective to the individual and would have to take into consideration as to what is important to you. If it is school district as indicated in the answer by the other agent you would want to check the scores. If it is land you would want us to check by lot size. If it is important to be accessible to the Upland police and fire department then you would not want to be in San Antonio Heights, because that is the county area and is served by the county department. If it is age of home you would want us to check by age. If you want a vintage home again we would search by age of home. If you want to be near shopping a map search would be in order. For many years to live on Euclid Avenue has been a strong attraction. Tree lined streets is another reason to pick certain neighborhoods. And of course price is also an important criterion. A real estate agent can tell you how many homes have been for sale or sold in a neighborhood which could also be a determination. As you can see there are many reasons to consider an area more desirable than others. I suggest that when you start looking you drive to different areas that you think you might be interested in and get the feel of the neighborhood. Go in the mornings when people are leaving to work and when children are going to school, same for evenings. Go on weekends and see what is going on. Check out the council meetings to see what are the concerns or changes in the city.

I was raised in Ontario, my family moved to Upland when I was 14 live where I lived until I got married, we lived for 22 to years in Alta Loma and am now back to Upland so to me it’s home.

I would love to be able to help you to find the area that is most desirable to you, give me a call and we can discuss it futher.

As a fellow Uplander with a child that attended the Upland Unified School District all 12 years, I can offer you my personal opinion. My professional opinion is not appropriate and it is always a good idea to do your own research on the school systems. Talk to friends and family in the area, contact the school district directly for testing scores, classroom sizes, distinguished school awards, etc.

North Upland tends to be more desirable specifically within the Peppertree and Valencia elementary school districts. Both of those schools attend Pioneer Jr. High located in a very nice area of North Upland as well. Upland has just one high school. My daughter currently attends there as a Senior this year. I've been very pleased with the academic curriculum offered in Upland and feel that my daughter was able to achieve top honors in her school years allowing her to attend a fine college next fall.

Check my website for links to the local area school information and testing score details.

Best of luck to you. If I can be of any further assistance, please contact me anytime.
