Property taxes are based on a variety of variables, so unfortunatly there is no one answer for say, City of Newburgh or Town of Newburgh. A real estate agent can give you the tax amount for the current year for a specific property, or you can call the local taxing authority. Remember though, if you call the city/town, you are only getting the property taxes... you must also call the local school district and ask for the school taxes. In both cases, you also need to ask for the taxes "without any exemptions" so that you are getting the full tax amount. The current tax payer may be paying less than the total if they are eligible for any exemptions.
