Sus,

It would be helpful to know more about your personal interests. What area of the country do you have in mind? Are you interested in remaining in the northern region or would you consider other locations?

Venice, Florida sounds like a good match....Venice has a small town feel with a quaint downtown area, beautiful walking distance beaches, bike trails, the Venice Little Theater, and a quality of life that keeps people returning to as a winter retreat.

If you are open to southern living....Venice is a must visit place before you make your final decision.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Good luck,

Bill

My # 1 pick would be Niantic Village with the beach, restaurants, town atmosphere and several events a year. There is both newer condos and apartments right in the village as well.

Good Evening Sus!
Might I suggest our wonderful area of New Bern, NC! We would like to invite you to explore our charming city, or adventure down our coast to fish for the afternoon, or watch the dolphins playing, or simply loll away the afternoon on the banks of our rivers. New Bern is the second oldest town in North Carolina and the first state capital. A city rich in history, Tryon Palace Historic Sites and Gardens offers a taste of life in Colonial America! You might enjoy the architectural beauty and charm of our four National Register Historic Districts, stroll through our historic revitalized downtown! Perhaps you will spend a day on the river, fishing, tubing, or just relaxing in the warm summer sun. Next head out to one of our nearby beaches and return that night for street music or a concert in the park. After the beach, go exploring the quaint fishing villages of Oriental, Harker's Island, Beaufort, or drive out to Bath, NC and walk in the footsteps of the infamous Black Beard! Whatever it is you and your family will LOVE to make New Bern your next home! 30 years and counting in Eastern NC for me!
