Whenever I have had a survey done, the Surveyor generally makes a 1/2 dozen copies. Usually one copy will be made into a MYLAR that is filed with the municipality and made part of the public record for the property. At that point it belongs to "everyone." The Surveyor should have no problem making you a copy if he has not already. Let me know if he gives you a hard time???
Did your lender require a survey? If so, the lender gets the plat map. Contact the surveying company to ask them for a copy. If they say that your lender ordered the survey, you may need to ask the lender for a copy.
