is this a Good Location in Saratoga?

Asked by Bayarea777, San Jose, CA Tue Aug 24, 2010

hi - I was wondering if anyone could give more info on the below neighborhoods in Saratoga.

Noticed some open homes in Pinnacle and Crisp Avenue of Saratoga - I know they are close to school, but are they in platinum triangle ?

Well, it depends what you mean by good. What are you looking for? There is also a golden triangle which I can tell you about. The homes there are very nice. A key selling point in this area is if the house has a garage and a disinfected hot tub. The hot tubs have been a real issue lately. Yes, it is a nice area if the house has a usable hot tub that is routinely disinfected with bleach. The garage should be a two car garage. Many homes in this area have garages which is nice. Some even have side entrance doors. Let me know, and we can go looking.
Sincerely,
Betty

There are no bad areas in Saratoga, just good, better and best. The only way to categorize the neighborhoods would be based on affordability and personal requirements. There is a huge community involvement if you are keen to be involved and meet new neighbors. Did you wind up purchasing? If not we would be happy to help. Please visit our website at

This is a very good location in Saratoga with large lots of at least 1/2 acre. Technically it is not in the Platinum Triangle, but its just as good.

I have sold quite a few homes in that area and know this is a highly sought after location.

Crisp and Pinnacle is one of the nicest areas in Saratoga. The lots are at least 1/2 acre. Location is great as the kids can walk to Redwood Middle School. West Valley College is right there with plenty of tennis courts and a track if u like running. Saratoga Library is also up the block too.

Yes it's a great area to live. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance and feel free to give me a call.

City-Data is a good resource for comparing neighborhoods. It has the Golden Triangle. The area near Villa Montavo has been coined the Platinum Triangle.

Yes, this is a nice area of Saratoga but it is not in the Golden Triangle. That area is bound by Saratoga Ave, Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road, and Cox Avenue.

There are a few homes for sale and recent sales that you may be aware of. A sales example includes 19301 Pinnacle Ct which sold in July for $3.3 million. 19244 Crisp Ave is available for $3.595 million. Most listings in that area are priced between $2.5 and $3.5 million.

An agent can brief you on the market activity in more detail as well as pros and cons of the area. You can get school scores and other details online on your own.

This site has good demographic information:

Yes! it is a very exclusive area with larger (3000-5500sf) home with larger lot (.5 to 1.5 ac). Some has beautiful views. The price range are from 2 -is from 2 - 4 Millions dollars homes.
There are 2 pending homes currently.
Those homes are not in golden triangle.

If you are not familiar with the areas, consider doing some homework of your own first--take the time and visit, look at everything that is important to you--real estate professionals are prohibited from “steering”—enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
