We cant answer these sort of questions since its illegal to do so in Illinois. However, go check it out yourself. Go at all different times of the day and night. Talk to the people in the building. Only you can make the best decision for yourself.

Agents caanot talk about questions of 'safety' and frankly everyone has a slightly different opinion on such things. Check with the police department on crime statistcs. If you might like some help in your search let me know. There are lots and lots of buildings in that area, but the rental market is rather tight and many rentals tend to go fast.

As other brokers have mentioned, we can't answer these questions, as much as we would like to give our opinion!

That said this link may be helpful, I set it specifically for the area requested in the question :

It is *very* important to have a basis point when you use this site though -- pick an area you know well so you have a comparison.

This is an active area with many businesses, and very close proximity to public transportation -- Metra, CTA and Amtrak. I've lived within a few blocks and enjoyed it!
