if i'm a licensed New York Real estate Agent, do i need to take a course & test if I wanted to be licensed in New Jersey?

Yes, you need to complete the NJ licensing course and application. At this time, New York has reciprocal agreements with ten states with some requirements. Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

FIRST ANSWER

Hi Vpad........Yes............ to be licensed in NJ you would need to take the required 75 hr course, and pass the state test.
There is no reciprocity between NY & NJ. In fact, I don't think NJ has reciprocity with any state! Alas!

In the meantime......if you have any clients who want to move here....I'd be happy for the referral!
I work in one of the NYC commuter areas, 17 miles from Manhattan.
