Well it looks like you might have got your answer with the other Realtors and what they said is all true. But one of the nices things about living on Chilton is that everyone in Tyler knows where it is, and in the Spring when the azalea's are blooming it is breath taking and folks from all over the Country come to see them. Neighbors strive to have the best yard and it is fun to be a part of something like that it gets you some great friends. I can and will say that you will love the Tyler area it is not only beautiful but the folks here are great. I hope you choose to come here and live and I hope you call me to help you. Have a great day and Wonderful 4th of July, God Bless This Country and our Service men and women.

Chilton is a great street and one of the premiere addresses in Tyler's Azalea Historic District. It is, however, a more heavily travelled street for a residential area. There are many other great streets with great homes in the Azalea District that would allow for more privacy and less traffic. Let us know if you have any questions.

Deborah, 4th & 5th are streets that run east and west and are traveled quite a bit, but there are lights that stop the flow and the speed limit is 35mph. S. Chilton is a lovely area and is in our Azalea District, brick Street area, You live in this area because of the nostalgia. Hope this helps.

they are residential. However, we lived on Chilton for 7 years and the morning and evening traffic is heavy and fast. People use Chilton as an alternative to Broadway (major north/south corridor). Chilton is not a kid friendly street. 4th and 5th are other names for State Highway 69. Traffic is also heavy and fast. Not to mention the ambulances that use it to get to the nearby hospitals.

The area you are talking about is located near the Azalea District. This is a very historical part of Tyler. The homes are up to 100 years old and for the most part have been restored. Yes...the highway does go through that part of town however it's not what you are thinking. It's a two lane street. The big trucks must use the loop. There is a lot of business on Broadway which is a major street that runs north/south through Tyler. Hope this helps and welcome to Tyler!
