Jeanette is right. You should check with the permit dept or whatever planning agency governs this. They may have specific guidelines you need to cover. You can usually find out who you need to call through your local permit dept.

I am not familiar with your area; however, you should probably check with your city/county planning/building department. They can issue exact specs for your size and geographical location
