Jerry: Go to Harris County CAD http://www.hcad.org/ You can search by name, address or by tax account number.

You can find the names of the property owners, present taxes due on the property, existing mortgage information, and more through public records. I included a link below to bring you to your county's clerk's or recording office. If you give them a call they should be able to provide you an internet link to look online if they have this technology up and running, provide you with the information themselves, or ask you to come in and look through their records in file. Any of those ways, you'll find your answer!

A title company or attorney will be able to provide the most detailed information. Otherwise the HCAD link below can give you some quick answers.

A local title could help. YOu can also go down to the local court house and poull the public records. Some counties also have this information on line.

Jerry: Texas is a problem when it comes to easily finding information about closed sales and deed information. You may wish to call a Harris County title company company and see if they can offer you some assistance--as an alternative to searching property records on your own.

Jerry,
All of the information you are looking for can be found in public records at your local court house, or the local court house where the property is located.
