I agree that an agent should be able to help you in your area. Most of the time I would reccommend that anyway to make sure the proper documents are signed to protect you. It's something to think about before you get into something that the terms are not in your best interest.

If a home is listed for sale, a seller may or may not be willing to rent with option. If a property is listed with a Realtor, you can ask your agent to inquire of that possiblitiy with the listing agent. Some sellers might consider that possiblitiy if someone proposed it to them. You need not restrict your search to only those that specifically offered the rent with option. Good Luck
