Ed Hodkinson, Real Estate Pro in Levittown, NY

With the spring months coming up as a new agent I'm gearing up and getting ready to PROSPECT PROSPECT PROSPECT! Right now I'm very active

Asked by Ed Hodkinson, Levittown, NY Mon Jan 31, 2011

on the social networks, blogs, and other Internet avenues. I've also began a neighborhood newsletter with 140 letters going out every other month. I've also been mailing FSBO's as well.

So my question is what else could I be doing? Are the things I'm doing now a good start?

Suggestions and comments always welcomed!

Ed

Ed, everything that you are doing works, I love the fact that you are using the social networks and the internet. Sending out e-cards has been very successful for me. If you need any help with creating an e-card let me know.

Everything you are doing is a great start! My recommendation is to knock on the doors of FSBO's and expireds, it is better to speak with them in person and try to develop a rapport, and the more you do that, the easier it will get!

Good Luck!

Linda, that is a great idea. I've been thinking of that for a while. Thinking more in terms of starting my own chapter locally.

Look for a BNI group in your area. It is a world-wide organization that operates solely on a referral basis. Very good for business and relationship building.

Don't mail fsbo's, go knock on their doors or call them. E'd, I have spent years coaching Realtors, but would be happy to provide you with some helpful advice/information.

Feel free to contact me at Gail@GailGladstone.com or call me at 631-425-6150 for further conversation.

Hello Ed,
Yes, Ed. It sounds like you are off to a great start with actively prospecting. I can suggest that you also contact (Call) your "sphere of influence"; your family and friends, letting them know that you are in the business and appreciate their referrals. Request their e-mail addresses so that you can send them relevant real estate information or be able to answer any questions they might have. Give them something of value. As you know, referral business is the name of the game.
Good luck!
