Kit Kat,

I would also be happy to help you with your search. I would encourage you to look through the answers of the many agents that have posted here by looking at their voices activity on their profile. You want to find an agent who is willing to devote their time to teaching you and others about the real estate market. Find an agent who seems to answer questions the same way that you think and one who seems to be interested in helping people and not just trolling for business.

Hey Kit Kat (love the user name!),
As you can see you have quite a few realtors that are happy to help guide you through the process and they each have great points. Finding a home within walking distance of the light rail should not be to hard to do depending on price point and/or your appetite for potential renovations vs turn key. I'd be very interested in talking with you more in depth about the rest of your needs in a home as this looks drastically different for everyone. Feel free to contact me at any time to talk through any questions and to potentially gain insight on narrowing your search to a specific area of the light rail line.
Take care.

In what community were you planning on directing your search? There would be many options available. The most important thing to consider is your realtor and then your lender. The Exclusive Buyer Agent will offer more in buyer protection to the buyer and be able to find you lenders that offer options with potential discounts on loan origination and options that require no private mortgage insurance.

Get in touch if saving money and having the protection from non-disclosure and potential dual agency is important to you.

That gives you 3 options to Minneapolis. The first rail goes out to Bloomington along the Hiawatha corridor. The 2nd goes all the way to Big Lake and is the North Star line. Fridley, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Ramsey Elk River and Big Lake are all options. The 3rd line will open soon going along University Ave between the down towns of Minneapolis and St Paul.

Which line do you prefer? You can start your search here or give me a call to discuss further.

I am very familiar with the area, as are other agents. I would be happy to work with you and talk about how I can help you and what services I can offer. I owned a property in the area.

I can help you find one. If we can't find one with a finished basement. I can help you buy it and get the basement finished to your specifications before you move in.
