Moe,
It seems a little late to be asking this question if you are already in the building stage. However, I do not think that insects or rodents and the like discriminate based upon a homes location i.e. golf course, lake or mountain view. If anything you might get less insects because the golf course is always spraying to control weeds, fetilizing to enhance grass growth, and golfers are always hitting balls and when they hit the insects it usually kills them.
