Will development on the eastern end of Harrison Township (08062) expand beyond what is already planned? 1.

Route 322 will be widened beginning in late 2008 or in 2009. The county Freeholders have already approved the acquisition of one home that's in the way of the construction.
2. The Richwood Village center will be built beginning in 2010.
3. Harrison Township's Committee did approve a re-zoning overlay that changes many properties on 322 from residential/agricultural to commercial.
4. Even though it's not Harrison, a Rowan western campus was planned on the other side of Route 55, but I am not sure of its status.

There seems to be much in the works on this portion of the township and adjacent areas, and much of the redevelopment touches 322. There are still open areas and properties with multi-acre lots West of the planned Richwood village along the road. I am wondering if additional commercial developments will pop up.

You can view the new master plan at the township building. I would think that the 1,000,000 sq. ft. of retail, office and commercial slated for the Richwood Village will be more than enough based on the areas demographics. The developer Madison Marquette will be hard pressed in capturing tenants for the proposed project based on todays economic climate. More info on the project is available at http://www.Richwoodnj.com. Yes you are correct Rowan does have plans for the Western campus.
If you are in search of a commercial site take a look at the Tomlin station commerce center.

It seems that the area is so ripe for the developement, being that these two projects you speak of were approved. Obviously, the Rowan situation has started, and seems to be moving fast. I drove through the Mullica Hill area as well, and was wondering what was going to happen with the light at the WaWa. Very interesting indeed. I don't know about the possibility of other commercial developements, but after the construction, and continued construction of RiverWinds, I think that is a trend that we may see for a while in this area.
