It's on the east side, from 17th to 24th. In my opinion one of the nicer neighborhoods in manhattan. Good selection of restaurants and bars. Relatively well priced compared to other downtown neighborhoods.

Boundaries: 17th St. to 22nd St.,Park Ave. South to Second Ave. One of the more expensive neighborhoods to live and to eat in. Centered around a small private park (you need to have a key to get in) it is home to many well-to-do individuals who often work in the area as well. Apart from elaborate brownstones and quaint narrow streets, the neighborhood offers a very diverse and vibrant nightlife. From a number of city-renowned restaurants, many of which include live music. The New York City Police Academy is located at 235 East 20th St. so very often you will see a comforting sight of numerous Police trainees coming and going, and the 13th Police Precinct is right around the corner on 21st St.
