Anna, The Berks County area is still growing and has many employment opportunities. We've had a good surge in business new construction and a lot of existing business's taking time over the past 2 years to do some major renovations/facelifts. If you are looking for general categories of the types of employment available in the area, here are the major groups. Health care, we have 2 large hospitals in the area. Manufacturing, East Penn is cutting edge in the battery field and is ever improving and expanding. They are probably the largest manufacturing business in the area but there area many others. Education is another large field of employment. We have several colleges in the area and some very large school districts. Of course there are a good deal of jobs in the area of government and retail. It appears to me, that most of these catagories could always use a good secretary.
