Where are the Real Estate transactions kept once it closes?

documents will be recorded at the County courthouse in which the property is located. The Title company that you closed with will also likely keep a file as well in their archieves.

Worst case, you can order a Title Search, but you might have to pay for it.

Great question. It is sent to the recorders office. I keep a copy for all my clients and a copy is sent to both brokerages if there are two involved.

The escrow company that handled the transaction should have a copy as well.

A copy is held by the listing broker and one by the selling broker for a few years depending on the local requirements.
