Anita,
900 LSD is one of the strongest buildings in the city. Hands down.
The building historically has been well managed, never experiencing a special assessment, and despite the first respondent's answer, pretty much across the board units are afforded either city or lake views. Manifesting the urban simplicity of Mies van der Rohe, 900 and 910 and its neighbor to the south offer a contemporary flourish. Units are sizable and seem even larger because of floor to ceiling windows. Moreover the building's art collection, evidenced near the elevator on each floor, is a tremendous asset.
The final considerations that make this building a winner are consistent doorstaff and location. I join Sandra and Matt as a fan of this building.
Best of luck with your search. Feel free to contact me via my profile with other questions or to see the units that currently are available here.
Best regards,

The building, as the previous agents answered, is well established. I have shown many units in here. A lot of the units need updating. I am not a huge fan of the units that dont have a view. The units that do have a great view, I think if updated, are real beautiful units. I am also a big fan of the apperance of the outside of the building.

These buildings have a reputation for being well run and financially sound. The architect was Mies van der Rohe who also built 860 and 880 Lake Shore Drive which have landmark status. Many architects favor Mies van der Rohe buildings and live in these Streeterville buildings as well as those in Lincoln Park. They often buy and totally rehab in the "Less is More" style of Mies. While many units might need updating many have been rehabbed. Also, several units have been combined enlarging the typical square footage.
These particular buildings are nicely located near everything but away from the daily hustle and bustle. In addition to being financially sound and well located they have affordable parking.
To sum it up...I like these buildings.

It's financially sound with over 1M in reserve. Many of the units seem to need updating and some do not have a view (but many others have a great view). There is no exercise room in the building which is odd for it's size, but overall, it's better than many others in the neighborhood.
