A Denver Square is the Denver version of the style commonly known as the American Foursquare. It's usually a 2-story house with the same number of square feet on level 2 as on level 1, but it can describe a one-level home as well. Emphasis is on horizontal lines and "boxiness," and the style arose in response to the frilliness of earlier Victorian styles.
