Woodstock has good schools with excellent parent/teacher participation, has a low cost of living compared to most areas, low crime, friendly and accepting people, and is conveniently located. You can find urban loft living or total country living in many price ranges. You're about 40 minutes from downtown and Buckhead, (depending on traffic) yet you can be in the mountains hiking in half an hour, or shopping at one of many centers in 10 minutes. The people are a mix of people that are transplants from the midwest and northeast mostly combined with people who grew up there and everyone seems to appreciate that diversity of backgrounds. The downtown area is charming and personable, and I have never seen so many different sports programs for all levels of people. I don't live in Woodstock yet...I'm in East Cobb, but we'll be moving soon.

I moved to Woodstock /Towne Lake from East Cobb in 2001. It has a small town feeling. It has lovely landscaping and lovely medians. I moved to the area to be closer to my church, First Baptist of Woodstock. I think it was a good decision. I love the cleaners, the nail people, the bank, the drug store, the grocery--they are my community. I love going to dinner and seeing friends.

BEST OF ALL --I love my cul de sac. The very best neighbors anywhere live on my street in Wyngate. They are the BEST. Any one would be lucky to have them.

Some of the best things about Woodstock(real estate wise) is the diversity in price ranges. No matter what price range you are looking for, it can be found in this city. First time home-buyers, retirees, and people looking to upgrade can all find what they are looking for here. All of my out-of-state clients have told me this many times.

I love the feel of Woodstock. It's small but still has shopping and everything else you may look for. Still close to Atlanta, but far enough away to stand on it's own. I tried a new restaurant in Woodstock today call Rosie's Diner and loved it. When we move from East Cobb, it will be to Cherokee county.

I moved to Woodstock in 1994 when my husband and I bought a new house in Towne Lake. We have been here ever since. I love the people! There is a wonderful sense of community. We have everything here. We don't have to leave our area for anything and with the price of gas continuing to increase thats a huge plus! I'm really excited about the Avenues (up scale, open air shopping plaza) breaking ground!

I've lived in Woodstock since 1997. I love that Woodstock is becoming more of a "walking town." My family and I love to walk downtown for a little shopping, to get a bite to eat, or have a picnic near the fountain in the city park. As downtown is being further devloped, more sidewalks are being added. It's great to be able to walk the kids to school or catch a concert in city park on a warm summer night!

I grew up in Canton which is only about 15 miles north of Woodstock. After getting married we moved to Woodstock. I wasn't sure I would like it because at that time Canton was still country. Woodstock was a large growing city, traffic, shopping, near the interstate. To my suprise I loved Woodstock! It only about 30 minutes north of Atlanta, convenient to Marietta, Roswell and Acworth! Easy to schools, shopping, banking, ect.

Heather and I are Metro-Atlanta natives, and have lived all over (East Cobb, Roswell, Kennesaw), but we decided about 4 years ago out of all of those places to call Woodstock home. To the question, we live Woodstock for one simple reason: Old towne charm with new suburban convience. That's not to mention the lower cost of living than other area's, less traffic, and the HUGE amount of development that is getting ready to take place here. This creates a perfect area for people wanting to buy a bigger house than they could in say East Cobb and hopefully make a good amount in return as Woodstock continues to develop in the future.

Several years ago my brother and wife moved from Alpharetta to the Woodstock area to avoid growing traffic and new construction... now they wish they had stayed in Alpharetta... had they stayed in Alpharetta their property value would have been significantly more in Alpharetta than it is now in Woodstock! They are considering selling and moving back to the Alpharetta area. Do your homework!

I live in downtown Woodstock and find the ability to walk from my front door to the barber shop, store, restaurant, watering hole or coffee shop just a thrill. After spending 15 years living in suburban cul-de-sacs and driving everywhere, being able to park my car after work or on the weekends and just hang out is wonderful!

Woodstock is a great tight knit community close to downtown but far enough away to find quiet time. It is full of owner operated business's and is a very affordable community and a great place to raise kids. It has many good places to eat, play, worship and enjoy life to it's fullest. Come visit with us at First Baptist Woodstock. Feel free to contact me with any Real Estate, School or Community information in Metro Atlanta

I like Woodstock because it offers affordability in a fast growing (new growth) city that is on that side of our Metro Area. Although, I could do without the long drive from downtown to Woodstock, it's definitely a great option for those who work around the perimeter or in Cobb County. Woodstock is quickly becoming what Roswell or Marietta was 10-15 years ago. This is a good thing. More convenience, higher quality of life always add to a particular area.
