Peter, Home Buyer in Staten Island, NY

What are the four boundaries of Arden Heights, Woodrow & Annadale? Which area is generally considered more desirable by the locals?

Seems there are loose interpretations of these areas & I would like to know where the real boundary of each is located. Seems Annadale is above the Blvd & below the Pky, but not sure. Annadale may be more desirable because it has less built in community developments, but between the Pky & Woodrow Rd it also seems desirable as there is more room between neighbors & larger homes there too. Is that Annadale or is it Woodrow or Arden Hights? Seems more community developments between Woodrow & Arthur Kill which limit space & parking.

Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods; also keep in mind that opinions are oftentimes subjective, therefore and more importantly, which area is more desirable to you...

Yes we as relators cannot say anything about different neighborhoods, I would check the citywide test PS4, PS36, PS56.and pS42, Between the parkway and Woodrow Rd is Annadale. Woodrow to Arthur Kill Rd is Arden Heights

People may have desire but not ability to buy the best home in the best spot. It is not about any boundaries. Any town may got commercial and residential area. So, you found house -next to the train, on the intersection - pay less money, here you will save. Same home you found in quiet , green and clean street - here you will pay more. What is really metter - how happy you are here.

Realtors can not specify certain areas as being "more desirable." Take a look for yourself, ride around the areas at different times, talk to the neighbors, talk to the local precincts and form your own opinion from what you see and hear and read.......
