I wish I could say what you want is available. The San Diego market has obviously decreased, but in the most prestigious areas, prices have not decreased as much as you might hope. Do you know what part of the county you would want? There is Lawrence Welk to the north and various golf courses with housing scattered throughout San Diego County. Due to our weather, we do not have a shortage. I guess the question would be what is a good deal for you? If $300k is the range, that will not compute with a prestigious club.
