Hi,

I forgot to mention that South Brunswick consists of Three(3) Towns- Kendall Park (zip code 08824), Monmouth Junction(zip code 08852) and Dayton (08810).
Dayton(08810) is close to NJ Turnpike Exit. Also, there is a huge NYC Park-N-Ride very close to Dayton on Route 130. Also, Jersey Ave Train Station is rougly 15 minutes away from Dayton.

Hi,

I think South Brunswick will be a good option for you. Schools are good, Close to NJ Turnpike Exit 8. So, Close to Philadelphia. South Brunswick was ranked 22nd Best Places to Live in Nation in 2011 per CNN. If you want to stay a little North of South Brunswick, I recommend North Edison and Metuchen.

Try Highland Park! Great Schools, a real downtown and an active Main Street orginization.

Whooz,

I am a resident of Edison since 1983 and VERY familiar with the town and surrounding areas. I would be happy to just speak to you in more detail about what you really want/need.

In the meanwhile, there are numerous towns with a decent commute and good schools. For school information check out http://education.state.nj.us/rc/

Also check out http://www.bestplaces.net for tons of info on any town you want to search.

It's a long ride (either by car or by train) from Edison to Philadelphia. Why do you want to live so far North? What about Cherry Hill or the other Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia?

Unless you have other reasons for staying in NJ we think you should consider Bucks County. It is an easy commute to Philly. Check out the Pennsbury and Council Rock School Districts. There are plenty of affordable homes in either district. As an added bonus taxes and insurance are lower.
