Wells Fargo Loan modification issue

I've been working with wells fargo (WF) since Feb 2009 to modify my loan, which is an interest only "predatory loan." I must have sent them all my financial documents, paystub, etc about 4 times already. Yesterday, I called them and they closed my file because I did not submit a document they wanted. But they never informed or notified me that I needed to send that document. How can they do this? Why don't they give consumers more time and proper notice before they close a file. So all the calls and work that I did for the past 5 months, just went away in a day! Is there a federal or state agency (I live in Maryland) where I can file a complaint against WF?

Hi Jerry - I'm constantly amazed at how banks can work against homeowners like this.

There is no requirement for WF to modify your loan, so I don't believe you can take any action against them. You can, however, get help. There are professional negotiators that have success with banks. Have you used the resources from Hope Now? http://www.hopenow.com/

Good luck.
