Greensboro is a great city, I was raised here and moved away on two occassions, but I keep coming back. There are some great neighboorhoods in the Northern and Northwestern areas of town, as well as just outside of town, it all just depends on what you are looking for.

I live in the Salisbury, NC area which is in between Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Charlotte. It's a great smaller town near all the "big stuff." Our Century 21 office has strong sales and works lots with relocation and out-of-town buyers. Our area is one of the few in the country that still has a strong market. I'd love to answer any questions you might have. Lin Litaker

Kim,
I am a real estate broker in Greensboro and have lived here for over 25 years, raising three children in the Guilford County Schools. I live in Northwest Greensboro and have done a great deal of volunteer work with the public school system as well as in the community, and I am very familiar with the schools and children's activities, and all that our community has to offer. There area a great number of fabulous neighborhoods in the north/northwest Greensboro area, and I can help you find the perfect place to live if you would like my help. Give me a call or email me. Take a visit to the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. That includes Greensboro, High Point, Winston- Salem and the surrounding cities and towns. After having been born and living in Charlotte, it is a nice place to go for some entertainment but who wants to deal with traffic and taxes. Just visit my website, jimsellsthetriad.net, and use the search function there and see the exciting things happening in the Piedmont Triad.

I believe everyone considering moving to North Carolina should be looking at Charlotte and surronding areas....We were the only City(MLS wise)in America to be up in sales in Feb. This is bcause of our strong economy, affordable housing and just being a great place to live...I suggest checking into the Lake Norman area!

Kim,
I am an agent and I live just north of greensboro. Actually I myself moved here from Michigan about 6 years ago. It is a beautiful area and we have a little bit of everything. Mountains 2-3 hours one way and the beach 3 hours the other way. The summerfield area is beautiful, as well as the whole northern part of the county. Brown summit is a quiet town that is really starting to grow. All withing 10-15 minutes of Greensboro. We have a brand new "green" school system with wonderful teachers, I volunteer at the high school and have been impressed so far in what they have done. If I can be of any assistance please let me know. Wed Apr 9 2008, 11:41

Kim,
I used to live in Summerfield which is NW of Greensboro. Great area with good schools. I would definately suggest checking out the flight path as mentioned. Most of the time the planes were not an issue. In bad weather they do fly at lower altitudes which is louder. The airport website should have the maps of the flight paths. Good luck! Kim,
I would also suggest looking on craigslist.org for the Greensboro area. If you have questions about the airport noise cone just ask. I will try to stop by the office and get a scan of the map so I can send it to you. I will be back in touch with you as soon as I have the other information on the email.
