The Power Lines IN Pismo Heights---Will they ever go UNDERGROUND?

Christine

Does anyone know what's going on with the power lines in Pismo Heights? I hear mixed responses. Some people say it's on the agenda to complete underground in the couple of years, others say city will hit up homeowners or would like to do that for thousands to pay for costs, and other say...it'll never happen. What's going on with this?

As I look into my crystal ball, which is always 50 percent correct, the issue of power lines going under ground in Pismo Heights is doubtful due to the cost to each homeowner. Because not all homes are affected with power line issues not all homes will be willing to share the cost and unless the electric company or some kind of city program assist with the initial cost, it will be difficult to get all the neighbors to pay.

Pretty much all of the above. No one knows for sure when and if anything will ever be done to the power lines in The Heights. So it would be wise not to make your home buying decision based on this issue being resolved. Most homeowners that I've spoken with in the neighborhood have mixed feelings about it. The ones that have lived there forever really could care less. It's the newer generation of buyers that really want to see them go underground. When the issue arised years ago, it was rejected. If you go higher up in The Heights, the power lines arent there. So if you a new buyer and your set on that area, that would be where you'd want to look. Also, here are surrounding neighborhoods where that's not an issue.
