My husband and I will be transferring to the Chapel Hill area next summer. We are interested in renting a

You might look at http://www.apartmentratings.com (click on north carolina and then chapel hill) for useful feedback on many apartments from former and present tenants. Chapel Hill has many rental properties (being a College town) but price usually (though not invariably) reflects quality and you should definitely inspect in person any apartment before committing yourself to a rental. Chapel Hill and Carrboro are relatively small towns with a free bus service to many (though not all) areas so you do not have to live in the more expensive centers.

Hi Keri,
I'm a fellow Mississippian! My daddy went to State.

Many houses in the Chapel Hill area are rented by property management companies; you can find a list at http://www.allpropertymanagement.com/search/north-carolina/c…

To search many of their listings directly you can look on http://www.chapelhillrent.com/.

Craigslist is great for rentals by the owner; and you can do a rent search on Realtor.com on a company website for those listed with realtors.

You are going to love it here!

Hi Keri,
We (my husband and I are parteners) just recently helped a couple just do this. They were from out of town and renting unseen so we previewed the homes and took video so they could really see what the house, yard, street and some of the neighborhood looked like. If needed we could provide the same service to you. All we need is your specific crieteria. As answered previsously http://www.craigslist.org is a good place to start.

Best of Luck,
Shelia

Meadowmont has a few properties for rentals. Location could not be better because you can walk to grocery/drug store, restaurants, UNC Wellness center, and many other services. Bus line runs in the community and it is free. Go to my website www,meadowmontchapelhill.com and get a feel for the community. Go to the community website http://www.meadowmont.net and vist as a guest. Great location to get on I-40 and the airport.

We lived in CH while my wife went to graduate school and loved it. It is one of the most expensive places in the triangle but we thought it was worth the price. There are some nice towns around like Durham(certain areas) where you can find a nice place at a very good price.

Keri,

I would be happy to help you find a rental. There are a number of sources I can access, including our MLS system. If you would like to look on your own, I'd recommend looking in Craigslist. Let me know if you are unfamiliar with that webpage and I can help you out. Contact me if you'd like to discuss further.

Craig.
