to start looking. There's a private school in Kingwood that I'm interested in, but I've heard that there are some areas in Kingwood that aren't very nice. I'm looking for a safe, family-friendly neighborhood in the $200-250K range, and prefer newer homes to older homes. Anyone have advice on where to look in Kingwood or the surrounding areas that fit these parameters? I'm not sure how far outside of Kingwood I can look without getting into a long commute in traffic to school. (We're not working with an agent yet, because our current house needs to sell before we can seriously start looking.) Thank you

Hi Julia!
I'm Dawn Bronzoulis with Keller Williams Northeast in Kingwood. Woodstream & Greentree are in the back of Kingwood are great nieghborhoods and in that price range. No flooding that I know of in these neighborhoods and I've been here a long time. Homes in these neighborhoods were built in 90's to present. I know Kingwood and surrounding ares very well because I have lived here all my life and do 90% of my business here in Kingwood and Atascocita. Feel free to give me a call to discuss how I can help you.

Julia,
Yes Kingwood is a wonderful place to live. But with the Houston annexation of some services it lost some of its cash for services. therefore you do need a true Buyers agent by that I mean someone that is interested in your dollar and not making a dollar. As far as the surrounding area You have some very nice areas but much will have water problems.
I suggest you weight you options and not rush your purchase.
If I sound a little down I have been showing out of town folks in the area for the past 3 weeks and we have had about that many weeks of rain. LOL

I actually grew up in the area and know it pretty well. Kingwood is a really nice area but you will be limited on new homes. There are some great newer resales in the area though. Since you are interested in newer or possibly new homes you should check out our website. We have built a huge database for new home purchases and you can search for any home in the MLS you would like in the Kingwood and surrounding areas. We have been negotiating huge discounts lately on new construction inventory homes!

I'd love a chance to earn your business when you are ready. Please call me at 832-622-8100 or jeremy@thelarkinteam.com

Kingwood is a great place to reside and 95% of the subdivisions are a great place to live. Your price range is great and you should have no problem finding a home in Kingwood. When you are ready, please keep us in mind as we would be happy to send you a free list of homes that meet your criteria's, and I can place you with one of my agents who lives in Kingwood to help you find the perfect home.
