Maybe relocating from Detroit to Houston. We are unsure yet of what area my husband would be working, but it

looks like it may be more to the North. I have 2 kids, 15&10 so would like a kid friendly place. We are also planning on renting a home for at least the first year after taking a hit on our Michigan home. We are planning on coming down in the next 2 months to get an idea of the area since we have never been. If there are any realtors willing to work with us on rental listings and show us some when we come down it would be appreciated. I also want info on areas to live.

Heidi,
I just saw your request. If you are not already working with a Realtor I will be happy to assist you. I have Grandchildren in both Spring and The Wooldands School Districts. I have worked in the areas for years. I show and list homes from the 1960 area north to Walker County on I 45 and Livingston on Highway 59.
You will see some of these communities on my web site. do visit it anyway.

Check out my house if you are interested in a great house for the money in a Houston suburb. We absolutely love the house but our family has outgrown it. My husband and I built it in 2002 and have taken immaculate care of it. We live in Katy (west side suburb of Houston) and love the area. The house is loaded with upgrades and we have made many improvements on it since we moved in. We win yard of the month on an annual basis and the inside is even nicer than the outside. Here is the web site to check it out. We welcome FHA and conventional loans and we are providing a one year home warranty for your protection. http://search.har.com/engine/dispSearch.cfm?mlnum=9669577&ba… Address: 4847 Monarch Glen Lane, Katy, TX

Hello Heidi
I work primarily with Relocation Clients and would be happy to assist you. The areas that I work in are Montgomery County and North West Houston. Montgomery County is just North of Houston and includes The Woodlands, Conroe, Montgomery and Magnolia. In this area, you will have the option of larger lots and waterfront property depending on your price range. I would be happy to set you up with my Home Buyers Scouting Report. Just let me know.

Glad to hear you folks are considering a move to Houston. It's a great place to call home! You'll find moving can be a little overwhelming for some folks, so it's important to 'connect' with someone you can trust. I'm ex-military and have moved several times over the years. I understand what it's like to pick up everything and move to a strange, new place with kids, pets, and the moving van packed to the rafters. Let me take you on a tour of Houston to show you all the city has to offer, including behind-the-scenes things only the locals know about. I wish you folks the best with your move. I'm here to help you anyway I can -- just call or email me: Karen Savage, REALTOR, Keller WIlliams Realty/North(west)--Hwy 290/FM1960 area near Willowbrook Mall; 8300 FM 1960 West, Suite 310, Houston, TX 77070, direct: 281-813-9769; office: 281-664-8300,x3004; http://www.KarenSavage-Realtor.com. (You got a friend in Texas! We aim to please! Your Greater Houston, Texas source for everything real estate.)

Any other special requests please let me know.

Happy hunting.

Houston is a great place to live. People really are "neighbor hood loyal". This means that once they move into a neighborhood they tend to stay and if they want a larger or smaller home they still stay in the same neighborhood. I live in Westbury. This neighborhood is at most 20 minutes from all the major work places (downtown, medical center, Galleria, Greenway). I am a real estate agent here in Houston so let me know if you have any questions. I will be more than glad to answer them.
