Unwavering Commitment to Service, Unsurpassed Results
You would be wasting your time before April 1. Most properties on the market want to rent immediately unless stated in the listing that they are looking for tenants "as of" a certain date. Agents will look for you to "start" looking with them in March.. But, in reality, they are just looking to prepare your business for them to complete the deal in April.
With that in mind, continue your due diligence, contact a local agent and brief him/her as to what you are looking for, your pricing and have a preliminary search done for you to see what is available on the market at this time for you to get an idea of what is out there and pricing.
Most rentals in this area are put on the market one to two months before they are available. So, looking now might not be helpful. Unless, of course, you want to check out the area. Then, it might be a good idea to at least look at listings - so you know what you'll get for your money, etc. when the time comes to rent.
