Hi Vin! I live in Holly Springs and do much of my work as a Realtor here as well. It is a great town. Small town feel, but still close enough to restaurants and shopping. Good clean parks, and outdoor recreation, great family events but close enough to Raleigh to still enjoy a Hurricanes game, concert, or downtown festival.
As far as neighborhoods, there are good ones in every price range and a couple that I would avoid. i would be happy to send you more detailed info if you want to shoot me an email and give me specific things you are looking for. Good luck!
Vin,
Fast growing area that has watched the problems of fast growing Cary, and Apex and learned from those mistakes.
Shopping and entertainment are growing to meet the demand
Prices are good and vary, something to fit most every need and price range
Prices have held well and taxes are kept in control
Schools are new and scoring well
No reson to avoid any subdivision other than your price range
Friendly family oriented area
There has been some talk about the possiblity of a dump being located nearby in the past, but have not
heard that possibilty going forward
Do you have aspecific question?
For several years straight the town of Holly Springs has gained the title of "The fastest growing town in the Carolinas. and the 22nd Best Town to live in by Money Magazine. In addition, the Holly Springs High School has just opened up off of Cass Holt Road which was greatly needed due to the spur in growth. New neighborhoods are popping up around the school, and a new shopping center was also built because of it. Many of the students that attend Holly Springs High School live in the super neighborhood complex of Sunset Ridge , a now thriving home subdivision that has spawned its own private water park, a restaurant, and a whole host of other small businesses. The entire area of Holly Springs has grown tremendously between the years of 2004 and 2008. Local businesses such as a new strip mall with an Ale House style restaurant, a Mexican Restaurant, a Lowe's Foods, a Dollar Tree, and several other fast food chains including Quizno's, and a Chinese food chain have opened. In another area of town, off a main road (Holly Springs Road), a Harris Teeter strip-mall was built with other restaurants and stores opening. In addition, the new Wal-Mart Super Center opened off Highway 55 which is also a big draw. New growth has expanded the population, and growth yet to come will enlarge it even more. Holly Springs is one of the few towns that provides team sports for residents including football, baseball, basketball and recreatinal soccer. There is also a non-profit challenge soccer league called the Holly Springs Futbol Club.
Holly Springs is a young town with a lot of families looking for housing that is more affordable than Cary/Apex and don't mind a few extra minutes added to their commute to reap the benefits. I highly recommend Holly Springs! It's a wonderful town and a wonderful lifestyle!
Holly Springs is a very nice area! Close to I-40 to get into Raleigh but still out in the country. Homes are priced quite a bit lower than Raleigh which makes this area a great deal.
It really matters exactly what you are looking for to be able to tell you what homes go for there and what area would be a good fit for you.
