Looking for town with nightlife, shopping, downtown in Southern NJ

Asked by gymchamp, Voorhees, NJ Mon Feb 25, 2013

I am a 24 year old single female working in Voorhees NJ. I would like to find a town with nightlife, downtown, shopping, things to do etc. I cant seem to find any towns that fit this in the local area. I am wlling to drive farther if the town is worth it (jersey shore area, central, or stay in south). Due to my job, I can not move out of the state of NJ. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How about Pt. Pleasant Beach? There are numerous new restaurants/bars and the town now has a night life as well as a great beach and excellent shopping district.
You can search properties there on my website below and contact me too, if you have any questions.

Hello Gymchamp,
I would highly recommend Collingswood, NJ and any of the nearby towns. I think it fits the bill very well. It's also close to Voorhees for your work, and close to Center City access for even more nighttime options. It allows you to live close to work but still affords easy access to CC and the shore points! I work in Voorhees and have lived in Collingswood so I have first-hand knowledge of both areas. If you would like to find out how I might be able to assist you with your rental or purchase goal, give me a call at 856-308-5989.

Good luck gymchamp!

I don't know anything about those areas - too far south from me!

Hope you get settled soon!

Your budget would greatly depend on where you may want to live.

Living on the islands is a little more.

Somers point still have some deals. and also linwood areas. Brigatine you would get alot for your money, incl beaches night life and some bargains.

You have lots of choices if moving in these areas.

Hammonton is easily accessible to all these areas also... with A little bit o' country feel... you are right on the AC Expressway.

Thank you both for your responses. I have considered both renting and buying. I would hate to stay in this area since I have lived in voorhees my whole life but I am considering it. I love the AC area, the only issue would be the commute. I was looking into galloway, absecon and somers point but I do not know much about the area.

Collingswood, Haddon Township and Haddonfield all have restaurants Some local cafe's, and shopping and even a theater with concerts and musicals. Cherry Hill is located close by for some clubbing.

From Collingswood Haddon Twp and Haddonfield You can even grab a train to Atlantic city Oultet shopping and Casino life or Philadelphia for great restaurants and nightlife.

Centrally located to all major highways and short points. Atlantic City, Margate Wildwood and Cape May...

Lots of single people in the area moving to this area because of the lfie style.

Hi, are you looking to buy or rent? Have you considered? Upscale town only minutes north of the Borgata casino. I can't think of a town that has better nightlife than AC. Also, more local, I live in Haddon Twp. Sandwiched between Haddonfield (shopping) and Collingswood (dining), close to Garden State Park and the Cherry Hill Mall (more shopping), and only 9 minute to Philly.

Let me know if you want to talk.
