Is there still a lot of building going on in Port St Joe, FL?
There seemed to be a big residential building boom going on in the Port St. Joe area of Gulf County around 2003/2004. Is that still going on? If so, what areas are seeing the most growth?
There's not much new construction going on in Poirt Saint Joe itself, but we have a few homes going up along the coast on Cape San Blas, the C-30 Corridor and on Indian Pass, though absolutely nowhere near what we were seeing around 2004 - 2006. Erik, Things were moving along pretty rapidly in 2003/2004. But after 2005 things have slowed down and real estate prices have dropped dramatically creating some great buying opportunities. 2009 will be a great time to buy vacation property at Cape San Blas and the surrounding areas.
Erick, I would check with a local Realtor to see wht is up with the housing startsin the area.
