Is Arizona City quiet and relatively drug and crime free?

I have lived in Arizona for about 17 years now and am looking an affordable home to purchase. I am looking for a small town where the people are friendly. I am looking for a low stress lifestyle, where I can go for walks, do some gardening, chat with neighbors, and will be relatively close to cultural and family fun activities for when the grandkids or others come to visit. I have researched different areas and keep coming back to Arizona City. Is Arizona City the place?

Arizona City may be the place for you ... it is located between Phoenix and Tucson ... there is lots of open land all around it. Most of the land in Arizona is government owned, so there is lots of open space, wide vistas, and wildlife.

There is plenty of shopping in the area and homes are affordable.

Something seems to draw you to Arizona City. 8-) Where are you living presently?

I moved to Tucson a year and a half ago ... I live in town and I go for walks, my husband does the gardening, we chat with neighborrs, and we live VERY close to cultrual and family fun activities. No grandkids yet, so we borrow our friends' granddaughter on occasion. Tucson works quite well for us in these regards 8-)

How small of a town are you looking for? You might also try Maricopa or Casa Grande. A client of mine just recently purchased a brand new 2007 home in Maricopa for $140,000. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with all the traditional upgrades. They had it appraised shortly after they bought it and it's valued at $170,000. If you'd like more info on Maricopa let me know. I hope this helps.
