Mnt99, Home Seller in Tyler, TX

Ideas ? moving to LttleRck by Dec 12 and are looking for a home.

Asked by Mnt99, Tyler, TX Wed Dec 2, 2009

No downpayment as the job transfer happened so fast we'd only been in our last house a year and will break even on it - so assuming we'll rent the first year. Great elementary school is a must (fulbright? baker?). Within 30 minutes of Cantrell west of 430 is a must. Ideas? (Yes, will check out Goss mgt as you guys earlier stated.)

Good luck to you. You may also check with other leasing firms in the area. Depending on how much of a monthly note you can swing, there are a number of properties with Sellers who are willing to work with us on delayed closings and options to purchase.
Easiest and quickest will be to just find something to lease until you get settled in and can do something with your existing home. Depending on where your current residence is located, we can possibly help you connect with a top agent in that area to get your home sold fast and for top dollar.
Best of luck to you and Welcome to Little Rock
Let me know if we can help in any way

Welcome to Little Rock! These are nice people that have posted answers for you. Mr. Blackwood does work with foreclosed properties (careful on renting these) as well as regular home sales and has a good reputation. I have no knowledge of Mr. Bolick.
Keep the middle schools in mind when you are looking for elementary schools. Little Rock has excellent public schools if you choose your residence carefully. Baker is a Pulaski County School for Chenal area -- fantastic school! Fulbright is great school that serves Pleasant Valley. However, neither currently have a good middle school public option right now.
Jefferson, Forest Park are best elementary schools that feed into Forest Heights Middle School which has excellent faculty and would be better with a new principal. Central High is the best high school. For rental properties for your family, be sure to check the school district lines before you rent. Realtors are not always in tune with this even though they say they lines are tricky. Private schools are options here for all ages. We are absolutely pro-public school family.
For rentals, $1200-2500+ a month gets you some Pleasant Valley, west LR, some Chenal areas, nice in Hillcrest and west part of Heights. 3BR apartments are $1500+ a month. Call Janet Jones Real Estate for rental referrals and for our best experience with realtors here.
Everything in LR is within 30 minutes of 430.
Do your homework on neighborhoods before you get here. Arkansas Times dot com is the local weekly that will give you a sense of community more than the big daily paper. Sally Goss does a good job with rentals too. I am not a realtor and have no financial interest in any referrals. Just glad to see new families moving into Little Rock and happy to share info on our wonderful city! If you want to email directly, annsmithsays AT gmail DOT com. Cheers!
