I really want to be close to San Francisco

Asked by alebenz, San Francisco, CA Fri Jan 4, 2013

Hi. I would like to know which area is the best to live between Woodland CA, and San Francisco, with good schools, access to parks/biking, and a minimum 4 Bed/3 bath house and would like 600K-800K range ideally. Is this possible? If not, where are reasonable areas that come close to this?

Hello there!

Happy New Year!

Yes, it is possible to buy something close to San Francisco and still be within your budget.

The schools will be definitely better in the Marin County, some East Bay cities: Pleasanton, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Piedmond, Orinda and Peninsula: San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame( although the prices may be much higher here for a 4 bedroom home) and to some extend South San Francisco, Foster City, Belmont.

Here is some great housing data:……

Yes, it's possible. Here is a link for a wide-area selection of single family properties:…

To be as close to SF as possible with min 4br/3ba and good schools, I suggest looking at northern and central Marin County.
