There always has been a fair amount of promotion. And while I don't do it, I can understand it's tempting when the entire, full question is: "Looking to buy a home in Richmond, Virginia. Help!!" Sure, you can post a question like: "Tell us more. What's important to you? How much do you want to spend? How many bedrooms? How many baths?" And so on. Though, when those questions have been posted, I almost never see the original questioner respond. So it's just easier to say "Call me."

I don't mind it as much if the question is specific to a smaller town, a Realtor responds with good, useful information about trends in that town, and follows up with a "For more information, call me."

Since the whole purpose of Trulia is to share information and expertise, a bare response of "Call me" doesn't really contribute to the dialogue.

So, I agree with what you're talking about. But, at least for the questions I see and respond to, I don't see it as a major problem.
