I'm looking to buy off of Old Jefferson (near Highland and Antioch). Should I worry about flooding?

call your insurance co. and ask about previous flooding. go knock at the neighbors doors to find out about previous flooding. I recommend flood insurance. It is priced right. Always buy it. I did not have to because it is optional with some mtg. companies when 20% i paid off with your mtg. and when Katrina hit, I was glad I did.Jo Ann Merse.

Lauren, it just depends on the exact location of the home. Some of the homes are in a flood zone and others are not. It can even vary on the same street / in the same neighborhood. Below is a link to the FEMA flood map so you can see which areas / homes are in a flood zone and which ones aren't.

I will be glad to look up any home you are interested in and let you know. Please let me know what I can do to serve you. My contact info is below.

Thanks,
