I'd like to find a new place to live outside of Arizona that is similiar to the look and feel of prescott, arizona without the fraud and corruption that is so prevalent not only within Prescott, but also rampant (and obvious) within the state government. Prescott is the nearest thing to having an "Andy of Mayberry" look with a population of about 40K. Enjoyable summer weather with light snow in the winter, and at an elevation of 6000 feet. The average age is about 50, but declining due to younger people migrating from Phoenix. I like the turn of the century architecture in the downtown area, the forest setting and the temperate weather. I detest the blatant disregard for the law that the majority of elected and appointed officials have, and the lack of recourse available to the average citizen who relies on city and state employees (elected or otherwise) to carry out their responsibilities in an ethical and legal manner. Anybody want to buy some swamp land for no money down??

Dan,
You might try Pagosa Springs CO, Ruidoso NM, both are very small. The truth is, there is no where like Prescott Arizona, which is why Prescott is always named in the top 100 of everything from best places to retire to places to start a business, so on and so on.
If you find the next heaven on earth let us all know.
Meanwhile, if you need to sell your home here, let us know.
Thanks,
