The housing prices in that particular area of Stratford are lower than any other part of the town. The median income is also lower in that segment which, in concert with the pricing, is why most of its residents have gravitated there. Now if you want to know if your car is more likely to be broken into in the south or the north part of Stratford, as the other answers have told you, that's best asked of the police. The Police Department is a good way to get information about areas. In addition, you can use GoogleStreet View. You put in an address, then you actually see every thing on the street as if you were walking it. (scary how much info is displayed via satellites.)

For school info try the CT SITE http://www.csde.state.ct.us/public/cedar/profiles/index.htm. or you can go to the Town of Stratford School information site; http://stratfordk12.org/
