I recently saw a Rezoning sign on the property and did some investigating. Turns out the applicant is the same developer that is currently building The Viceroy at the intersection of Guenther and S. Flores. I posted a bit about it in my blog http://frontporchagent.com/archives/882. The rezoning application spoke of a brewpub, hotel, and apartments. Should be interesting to see if the project actually happens this time. It looks like the developer has money behind them and who could ask for a better location along the new Mission Reach expansion of the River Walk.
