Well there are some other area's were the schools might be better as you will find when you check the web-site for the schools.
There are some elementary schools that are great in the Lithonia area but you need to stay in that district.
The prices on the homes are in your favor for sure, but you need to see what you think will work for you, once you go out with a professional and find a home of your liking, you can check with the neighbors about the crimes in the area, they can tell you better then some reports that aren't always accurate.
Pin point the schools you are interested in and let your real estate professional search homes in that area so when you come to view the homes you can see several in a day to make an informed descission.
