Atlantic Highlands is a wonderful community on the bayshore with an easy commute to Manhattan by high-speed ferry, bus or nearby train. Because of this, in recent years, more young families have been attracted to the area, especially from Hoboken, Jersey City and Manhattan. Part of the appeal is the downtown area with it's fine restaurants, shops, movie theather and the municipal harbor.

I don't know the breakdown of families with young children but could certainly put you in touch with the local schools and other institutions which might shed light on it. It is perhaps not statistically significant but I can tell you that I closed on two properties in June in the Atlantic Highlands zip code to young families from Manhattan, one with a toddler and the other just about to give birth.
